Key terminology:
Franchise: a series of films based on an original idea or adapted from a book
Distributor: the company that markets an organises the distributes of a film
Hollywood: a large film production company that dominates Hollywood
Teaser: a short trailer to interest the viewers to watch the movie
Montage:a film editing technique in which a series
ensemble cast: a group of actors that have more or less equal roles
Tentpole films: a very high budget film which is expected to be successful
High concept: emphasis on a striking but communicable central idea
enigma: a question that the audience wants to find out
Industry
1. the 5 major Hollywood studios are Paramount pictures, Disney, Warner bros, Universal pictures SONY
2. the main aim of film marketing is to "get the word out" and get people more interested in the film
3. marketing techniques that are often used are fliers and posters, adverts, email marketing co-branding
4. the information that film posters need to convey is the title, actors, release date, the director and some things that may hint what the film is about and may draw the audience towards the film
5. the difference between a teaser and a normal poster is a normal poster has a more simple design and doesn't reveal much information unlike the teaser which the goal is to give information and draw the audiences attention.

they made the first movie in 1962 and the most recent one 2021 and there have been 27 James bond movies made thorough out the years

Production: the factors the go into the making of a film
Distribution: where and how a film is distributed
Marketing: how a film gets advertised

Vertical integration: a company produces it then they distribute it and markets it using it time company
then the village gets the first right to the film in the cinema
production is split into: Pre-production Production Post production
Pre production:
the script writing and the planning of the film and create a vision for your film and where you can secure all your resources you can create sets and costumes and create a production seclude when you need the actors/what time you need the sets and where
Production:
where you film the scenes with cameras and action
Post production:
where you edit and check that every scene aligns with each other
Executive producer:
the people that over see the production making sure the film is going to plan and everyone is doing there roll and job and they are there for every stage making sure it is all up to standard.
line producers: organises budget controls the film, all department answer to producers

- sometimes companies will delegate the distribution to a smaller companies that they own (vertical interrogation)

LO: to explore the marketing methods in no time to die
The delayed release meant that they had to re shoot some of the scenes if they didn't have the newest technology the initial marketing strategies cost a lot then they were worthless cost more as had to market for longer to maintain the hype products in the film were not up to date so they has to re shoot the scenes
